Body Work
Almost every vehicle brought to a collision repair facility has some type of non-structural body damage. Whenever appropriate, your vehicle's original parts are repaired while severely damaged parts will need to be replaced. Our technicians can repair sheet metal and plastic so that it can be difficult, if not impossible, to find any indication of damage to your vehicle.
Certified Technicians
Each Collision Solutions location is an I-CAR Gold Class certified facility, the highest recognition for training a business can earn in the collision industry. Training of this level is important because technical repairs require knowing how to perform tasks such as welding a replacement panel into place, or straightening high-strength steel, plastic, or aluminum components.
Body Repair Method
A collision repair technician repairs damage to plastic, aluminum, and steel exterior panels typically using hand tools and shaped to contour using body filler and sanders. Paintless Dent Repair (PDR), which is removing damage without using body filler or paint, is another option for repairing minor damage to your vehicle. If we cannot repair a part on your car, a full part replacement may be necessary.
Non-structural parts, including trim, may be bolted, clipped, adhesively bonded, riveted, or welded onto the vehicle. To reduce the noise, vibration, and harshness, some vehicle makers use foam fillers between the panels, which we repair as needed. The headlamps are also aimed before the vehicle is returned to the customer.
Welding Certification
Welded-on panels such as the rear quarters, rocker panels, roof, or uniside panel replacement must be installed by a qualified technician. All of our welding technicians are trained and qualified in the use of MIG welding and Spot Welding equipment by the manufacturer and also through I-CAR welding qualification.
During the certification, the welds performed are tested by destruction to ensure your vehicle is repaired back to the highest standards available to the industry today.
Warranty
All of your car's body repairs are backed by a written Lifetime National Limited Warranty. This means all repairs are covered for the life of your car wherever you are in the United States.
