Paintless Dent Removal
Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is the only way to repair a dent or ding while leaving the paint intact. PDR involves either patiently massaging out the dent from the back of your vehicle's panel or from the front using specialized tools. PDR never involves drilling a hole in your vehicle to remove a dent.
Why choose Paintless Dent Removal (PDR)?
1) Quality – PDR leaves your original factory paint in its original condition, unlike conventional dent repair that alters your paint by using grinding, fillers, or primers.
2) Cost and Value – PDR only costs about $75-$150 to fix a dent while conventional dent repair can cost anywhere from $350-$500 or more per dent. If your car has multiple dents, we offer discounts depending on the size and amount of dents on your car. This makes PDR an ideal choice for damage from hail storms.
3) Time Savings – PDR can usually be done in less than an hour while a conventional repair may take a few days.
Will my paint be damaged?
Typically, no. Today's factory paints are very flexible and resist being damaged in the PDR process. In extreme cases, the vehicle finish could be compromised and conventional repair would become the only viable option.
Will my dents be 100% gone?
In most cases, yes. The deeper the dent, the more difficult it is to repair. Even on larger dents, once we're done, most people are amazed at the results. We can explain in detail how your dents will likely look before we start any work.
Will my dents come back?
No. Once a dent has been removed properly with Paintless Dent Repair, it will not come back.
Can any dent be fixed using PDR?
No. About 95% of minor dents can be repaired, leaving about 5% of minor dents that can't be fixed. The most common dents fixed are the size of a golf ball and under. The key factors determining whether your dent can be fixed using PDR is the depth and/or location of the dent.
Depth – Dents the size of a dinner plate or larger can be fixed as long as they are not too deep or twisted. On the other hand, your vehicle's dent could be as small as a dime, but be very deep, which means the metal is stretched too far to be fixed using Paintless Dent Repair. Cracked paint is an indication that your vehicle's dent is too deep to be fixed using PDR.
Location – Areas such as quarter panel opening lips, forward areas of heavily braced hoods, or the very edges of some panels can limit PDR's ability to be used to fix your car.
Does PDR ever include drilling in the car to fix the hole?
Collision Solutions does not recommend repairing dents by drilling holes unless it's absolutely necessary. If drilling a hole is absolutely necessary to repair your vehicle, you will always be asked beforehand for authorization. If you choose to have it repaired with drilling, the hole will be rust-proofed and plugged.
Can Paintless Dent Repair help me with my Lease Return vehicle?
Absolutely. You can have your vehicle's dents removed for a lot less money using PDR than you will be charged for "excessive wear and tear on your vehicle's exterior." If your lease is up soon, give us a call—you'll be glad you did.
Can Paintless Dent Repair help me sell my car?
As the saying goes, "Image is everything." If a car looks good on the outside, buyers assume it has been well taken care of on the inside. It's no surprise then that used car dealers and wholesalers often use Paintless Dent Repair to increase the price and speed in which they can sell a car. If you're selling your car, Paintless Dent Repair is one of the best ways to get top dollar, more interested buyers, and a quicker sale.
